Excellent cheap eats! Decided to get dim sum for lunch. Nothing fancy here. But the food is cheap and good!
The congee is a huge portion worth the price and the siu Mai is very good. Not our favorite dim sum place, but the quantity is good and the quality is definitely better than anything you can get in West La. Service is quick and prompt. Our favorite is the bbq pork roll in the scallion pancake. It's greasy but delicious!

This place is an absolute hole in the wall with exterior bathrooms and one employee that didn't speak any English... I'd have it no other way. It was definitely no frills. We chose it because it was where we were driving through, had dim sum and the prices were affordable. We had a shrimp fried rice, hagow, siu mai, lo bak go and some dumplings in chili sauce. Everything was good! I was terrified when she said we had to go outside to use the bathroom but it was one of the cleanest bathrooms I've ever seen in a Chinese restaurant. I'd go again!
In the heart of Chinatown, we were able to find some quick dim sum with a minimal wait. The people who we ordered with were very friendly. The food we ordered was delicious and fresh. We had siu mai, bbq pork buns, and soup dumplings. They have a few tables inside and outside, and there is metered or paid parking available nearby.
This place has been a staple in Chinatown for decades. Small, unassuming dim sum spot that is a must try! The staff is always friendly and the food is always amazing. The consistency and taste of the shumai and hargows rival much fancier dim dim restaurants. Small parking lot to the left of the store front if you do not want to park on the street. It's a great place to stop by and grab some to-go Dim Sum for long road trips or a quick bite.
I have ordered from Tian's 3 times in the last month. The easiest, tastiest option on Uber Eats right now! The pork buns! The salt and pepper tofu! The red bean pancakes! Holy heck everything I have gotten is just tremendous! It's really difficult to think of anything other than those soft, pillowy buns. Like I honestly might order again tonight it's so good.
